Oohh the nostalgia. Privateer Gold Gemini!
I loved this game back when it came out in '93 a couldn't believe it was redone for Mac, Linux and Windows. The only space simulator I ever played extensively.

For those who never played, its a free form (Han Solo Style) space game set in the Wing Commander series. You start with a clunker tin can of a ship and run cargo and merc missions for money to upgrade parts and buy new ships. There are many story lines to follow. Become a Merc, Merchant, Pirate or all the above.

Remake works great with mouse for navigation. The AI is redone well to not be so predictable and is enjoyingly challenging. They also converted all the ships to 3D though the ships console and other graphics are from the original '93 version. Highly stable, had one crash in a whole weekend of play.

Few bugs or changes from the original, repair droids don't work or are extremely slow. Shrug. You get a few left over pieces of cargo from cargo mission which you can resell.

I love it and am ecstatic.

If a group of mimes are miming a forest and one falls down, does he make a sound?
