Hey everyone, I just finally got Age of Mythology which is a fantastic game. However, I have read a lot of reports that ibooks with my specs and sometimes even lower has no problem running the game on highest settings. My 12" ibook g4 800 with 640 ram has a lot of trouble even playing the game and still runs really choppy with lowest settings and blocks for characters. I've tried putting energy settings to highest performance but it doesn't seem to help. running tiger right now.. any suggestions? I also installed the latest patch.. 1.01 i think.

AOM requires 1ghz cpu or better for 2vs2 online play. So far their has been no way around it. AOM's heavy use of the Central processesing unit (CPU) makes the game lag. You will see it even get worse as the game goes along and more units are created. People have tried, direct connects lowering the graphics settings, getting cpu excelerators, for the most part every attempt to play aom with less than 1ghz cpu has failed. If anybody actually knows a way around this I would love to hear it.
