For all of those who are frustrated mac users without a voice chat solution for WoW: My friend and I started a thread on the WoW suggestions forum for some sort of in game voice chat. I'm not sure blizzard is going to do anything about it, but we'd like as much support as possible. Please check out the thread and sign.
linked.
A few people complained to me and said that they didn't want WoW voice chat like counter strike voice chat. Well our idea is to have it more like a party/raid channel type thing. If you're in a group, the leader will get moderation privilages over who speaks and who doesn't speak and what not. The idea isn't to have 300 people in orgrimmar talking at once.

Spam reported, and good look with the voice chat thingy. I suppose you could use Skype for small groups (if you've got a nice enough connection).

We use Skype for small parties, and TeamSpeak for raid encounters.
Works perfectly.

Didn't think TeamSpeak had a Mac client. I'm of course assuming the orginal poster is using a Mac like I am. I can use skype, or powerup my Windows laptop and run TS/Vent there I guess.

Skype works very well for both Macs and PCs.

There's now a beta version of a 3rd-party Teamspeak-compatible client for OS X. Have tried it a bit and seems to work ok, so far.

Life is like a clay pigeon -- sooner or later, someone is going to shoot you down and even if they miss you'll still wind up shattered and broken in the end.

I couldnt get Teamspeex to work on my G5. I could hear others but couldnt get my microphone to work (it was plugged into an iMic). It seemed to work on the G5 iMac with the built in microphone, though.
anyone get it to work on a powermac G5?
editted to add: i got a Logitech 250 USB headphone/microphone headset last night. Seemed to work fine with Teamspeex. There was only one person on and they didnt have a working microphone but they typed and said they could hear me.
i'll try it again this evening if i have time.
