I'm sure most everyone has seen this already but will be a nice addition for those of us that want to use voice with PC Team Speak gamers.

I hadn't heard of this. That's cool. It at least offers people an option if they want to try being compatible.

Your confusing TeamSpeex with TeamSpeak.

TeamSpeak DOES NOT support the Mac yet, supposedly with the next version due out sometime in the next 6 months but we've heard that before from them. According to them Apple sent them a couple Power Macs a couple years ago, a lot of good that's done.

TeamSpeex is a Mac client that has been made to connect to he TeamSpeak servers by someone that was tired of waiting.

TeamSpeak is of course giving him a hard time now, threatening him with legal action unless he joins up with them. According to the author of TeamSpeex he's not touched their code and feels he's within his legal rights and will be offering a public beta up in the next 24 hours for us.

It's pretty funny actually that this one guy is showing them up by offerning something they've promised for 2 years. TeamSpeak has kind of asked for it by offering little to no information on their forums and actually deleting Mac topics begging for support. Wish I could find one of the threads that stated "hey if your tired of waiting then go and write your own program", because now that someone has actually done it it's got them all worked up.

http://www.goteamspeak.com/news.php has news about Teamspeex and a link in the downloads section to it. Looks like they are willing to work with the guy now, after their short overreaction moment.

UPDATE 10/24/05 - The Teamspeak team was happy to engage in a meeting today with the author of the 3rd party, unofficial Mac client for Teamspeak 2 known as "Teamspeex". We will soon be linking back to the Teamspeex download page from our download area, where you can obtain the latest release version of Teamspeex. You may also visit the Teamspeex home page HERE.
Nice.

it works pretty good, tested it out with friends who use it in WOW
Brian says (9:16 AM): I was looking at houses in Ottawa... I actually have a temptation in me to move
Jeff ******* says (9:19 AM): Eww, Ottawa is gross. It's infested with politicians, and presently, 1 Harper as well.

Go to the Teamspeex forum under Support-->Looking for Panther users post and there's a link to the newest beta there. Savvy doesn't want this version uploaded anywhere just yet but you can get it there for now if you like.
