Any information on Quake 4 for the MacOS? Since it's from id and based on the Doom 3 engine, it should be a safe assumption?

Oh, and a link to the screenshots: http://media.pc.gamespy.com/media/01...56/imgs_1.html

looks like it's still pretty early in development. those maps they're playing are just retextured from quake 3.

not all who wander are lost.

lol. sorry i don't follow this kinda stuff too closely, but it's a shame the developers couldn't come up with any original maps then.

You'll want to pass on Q4. The single player is awesome, but the multiplayer nothing new to the Quake series. All it is is Quake 3 with lower frame rates.

lol....and God knows the last thing us Mac users needs are lower framerates.

I think I'll just stick to RTCW Enemy Territory.
signatures are a waste of bandwidth
especially ones with political tripe in them.

They said it was the last one THEY were gonna do, so they farmed out off to Raven. They just gave input and Raven did all the actual work.

Hmph. Single player is what made Quake 2 for me. Since Quake 4 claims to be Quake 2 with purtier pictures, I'm trembling with anticipation. Multiplayer is overrated.

Apparently, MP has maps from Q2 as well. Classics such as the Edge, etc. (or so i've heard).
