Well after 11 months of playing WOW (actually less as I took about 4 months off), I must say that I still love the game. I have built a level 60 Priest , a level 54 Shammie, and a few level 19 characters for low end PVP (most on Llane)
I spent the majority of that time playing on my Powerbook g4 1.25, with the only annoyances being peak time in major cities. I just switched to a new iMac with more Ram and it runs much more smoothly in cities.
For the one or two of you not playing, give this game a try. It offers the ability to play meaningful session in solo, and also promotes team play for the end game content. This is a good time to join.

Cool I bet a lot of girls find your level 69 paladin very attractive and would love to take your character to bed.

Not really, it's just a game... a wildly successful game, with the best content in the industry. None-the-less, I'm sure you do other things besides play WoW (like the overwhelming majority who play it), which is something that some losers can't understand.
See, people like Ca$h can't fathom that WoW IS Macintosh gaming right now. It's the only significant title to come out for the platform in a year. When/if something better comes out, people will talk about it.
He's likely just jealous that no machine he owns can even run it.

I'm sure it has everything to do with his violent mood swings and abrasive personality. Seems that he acts like some idiot with the DTs most of the time.

Didn't really have anything to do with picking up chicks with a level 69 paladin, either.

Actually on the topic (I know it's weird), I 'joined' in August, sharing an account, on which I got to 40 with a shaman before getting my own, which now has a 53, almost 54 undead mage. When he gets to 60 or soon after, I'm planning to start up an alliance character, so as to get one maxed out on each side before the expansion. I think I'll take that one a little slower though ... only been playing the mage for about 6 weeks, with 12 days playing time . Not wanting to step on the points made earlier....

I just gave up after my first month. I was a level 27 dwarf paladin. Since I cancelled my subscription, can i resubscribe at a later date and retreive my character?
If you are wondering why I gave it up, The game was just too addictive. I spent 9 hours last sunday playing.

Your character lives on, even though you have stopped your subscription.
I did this. Played the game for a couple months- then cancelled - decided to pick it back up 6 months later - my old character was still there.
Its a fun game- but you really need to have the time to devote to playing.

Blizzard reps have said they have no intention of ever deleting characters from canceled accounts.
Incidentally, I didn't realize until yesterday that dwarves could pallies, because for some reason all anyone on my server wants to roll is human.

And, again, what does that have to do with pot? Pot doesn't make people act like that...

Alright, I don't post on these forums much at all, but I read quite often. The iMac Man, I don't know how you do it but you manage to drive every WoW post into the ground. I'm not sure if you realize this, but this forum is for Mac gaming and last time I checked WoW was infact a Mac game. You don't like it? Who cares. WoW just happens to be one of the most popular games on the Mac platform, so it's natural there will be multiple posts about it. If it bothers you so damn much don't post on the thread and carry on with trivial arguments which are not relevant to the topic of the thread.

Whatever.
If someone wants to post about how much they like the game, and brag about being a level whatever in looserville, then they can do it in an existing thread.

I don't have a problem with it either, iMac Man. Everything TDM said was 100% accurate, so please stop derailing threads. Chances are there are millions of people out there who think the games YOU like are stupid too, but you don't see them trying to throw every thread in this forum off track. They simply don't come in, or have the respect to keep their opinions to theirselves.

I'm pretty sure my dual 1.33ghz g4 with 9600XT would run it just fine. I'm also pretty sure that I could take a dump into a blender, add some vodka, and then drink blended human sh*t and alcohol and get drunk.
Neither seems like a very appealing idea.

No, but the vodka sounds pretty good right now.

Vodka always sounds good after reading a thread about WOW. It kills more brain cells so I can comprehend how pretending to be a paladin could be fun.
