Hey all,

I'm sure this has been posted before... but how well does a 1.2 ghz 512 ram iBook G4 run WoW? Can it run at all? Thanks.

My partner uses my iBook (specs in my sig, almost the same) to play WoW with me and it runs fine on low-med settings on the native res.

As far as I could see the only choke was while flying from place to place and when in places like Ironforge.

Hope that helps.

Edit - I have 512 RAM in it but more ram always helps with a game like WoW, it eats it for breakfast

And in reply to Duracell, I am almost certain the slowdown during grypon rides is caused by paging (which is due to a lack of free RAM). It annoyed me a great deal to see that occur on my G5, so with the supposition that it was a RAM thing I restarted and tried a flight without any other applications - that time it was smooth.

Indeed, killing all apps running helps a lot on my iBook.

I agree with Ca$h for once. Except I don't use smilies. And I probably would have sworn less. But the basic idea of searching is there.
