I've tried downloading the demo from Macgamefiles several times only to get a .dmg file that is unable to mount. It shows complete download but it's a fraction of the total file size.

anyone else experiencing this??

What are you using to download the file? I've had issues using Camino and Firefox for downloading large files. They tend to 'finish' the download a bit too earlier.

I downloaded the demo from MacGameFiles in Safari and it mounted and copied fine (unfortunately it refused to run because my system doesn't meet the minimum req. Unlike Halo, this game won't run without pixel shader support, which is just as well ^_^ ).

I was using Firefox but I tried Explorer last night and it had the same result: early completion and small file size. I'll try Safari now...

Can't help you with the download problem, but I've played the full game and think it's great. My kids (the oldest is seven) also thought it was great.

I had issues trying to download it as well. When the download is supposed to begin, look at the address bar, it'll be trying to download from download server #5 or so, I changed it to #2 manually and hit return, it downloaded and mounted in minutes. I know they often have up to 5 servers to choose from for downloads, give it a try.
