So, I downloaded the UT2004 Demo... Game-play is amazing as expected, however, the audio has to be turned off because it sounds like static...

I really would like to purchase the full version of this game, but I'm a bit wary as I would like to see if there is a fix for the audio in the demo first.

I figured it out...
I have the M-Audio Mobile Pre USB. I had the input set to the MobilePre instead of the system... Apparently, UT doesn't like that

Thanks for asking me some questions... got me thinking

My System:
Tiger 10.4.3
1.8 GH G5 Tower
768MB RAM
ATI 9600XT
Using the Optical Out to my Surround system.... sooo nice.

I don't think you can update/patch the demo?
Anyway, the full game is well worth paying for. Great game play and it runs superbly. In your case, it will be better with a spot more ram though.
UT2007 will be out early in the new year however. But its going to need some serious hardware, especially where graphics are concerned.
The worst thing about having a failing memory is..... no, it's gone.

Oh, yeah. The demo is pretty much locked in... No patches or new demos.

As for game-play for UT2004... It's totally tehR0x0rz! Smooth, perty, oh, and double-perty too!™

UT2007? Hrmmm... Guess I'll have to start saving for that AND a new vidCard.

I've got UT2004 on my PowerMac Dual 1-GHz (1 GB RAM, 22" Cinema Display) and it's smooth as silk. Great game!
