Sorry for asking a potentially stupid question-

is Star Wars Galaxies ported to OS X? I just bought a 1.8ghz upgrade card for my G4/600 Sawtooth and am wondering if I might be able to order this very tastey game.

I don't think SWG is doing to well in the world of MMOs, so I highly doubt you'll ever see a Mac port

This is no longer a very tasty game. It has really struggled for the last 2 years, ever since they brought out the Combat Upgrade. When they did that, about 40%ish of the players left. I played at launch and played for 2 years and I was one that left and I know a lot of people that did.

Star Wars games have been getting boring, IMHO. I'm hoping for a new Jedi Knight game with Kyle Katarn in the lead role. Or maybe some New Jedi Order games with continuing storylines. Using the Quake 4 engine. I'd buy up and play those!
Scooters are more fun than computers and only slightly more frustrating

yeah, i read somewhere that with the growth and success of WOW, all other MMORPG's are really struggling. The industry thought Everquest was a big hit with 600,000 subscribers until WOW came along and just recently broke 5 MILLION subscribers. Analysts reported that fully as much as a third of the subscriber base of WOW came from other online gamers who really disliked where they were

I am not sure if it was good game design or the fact that WoW was well timed for release as to its success though. SOE has run Galaxies into the ground and at one time I think it had near 3 mil subs(i just heard that high at one time not really sure though), EQ 2 never took off like the critics thought and EQ is old as hell. WoW seems to be the best run mmorpg right now with Blizzard being a good customer related company. All of this coupled with the fact that there are no other mmorpg's out that are worth playing more than a month or so and you have a great success.
