I did some searching on Google, but I really don't know what to search for.
If you have a Mac, you probably know exactly what I'm on about. I'm not sure about OS X, but I'm pretty sure it came with System 8 or System 9. That game where you're given a grid of dots, and you're a swinging bar... one button to jump from one dot to the next (but only when the swinging pole is "touching" another dot) and another button to reverse direction. There were obstacles like walls and mines which you could either not touch or at least not get by... and you had to reach a special dot. Great little game, lots of fun... and I'm pretty sure it came with one version of Mac OS.
I don't have a Mac, but I'm actually looking for a clone of this game for the PC. It was a lot of fun to play, and would be neat to have something like that. (Yes... I'm a PC guy... but looking at where Microsoft and Apple are heading, my next system might well be a Mac, if I'm in a position to afford one.)

I had both OS 8 and 9, and I don't remember anything like that. You're sure it was included with the system?

I remember it, but I can't remember the title. If I knew the title, I'm sure I have it on CD somewhere.

You're looking for Spin Doctor by Calisto. It's an old game, came out in 1995, and it wasn't actually included with the OS. A quick Google search failed to find a copy, and I don't have any more around. You might find something with a little more effort on Google.

No, I wasn't actually sure it was included with the OS, I just assumed it was. I played it twice, once at a Mac dealer (not an Apple Store, just a place that sold Macs, later added PCs, and is now out of business) on a computer that was running either 8 or 9. The second time I played it, it might have even been System 7, as I'm pretty sure that's what that old Performa was running.
Actually someone in that thread linked in the above post said it came with their Performa. So it might not come with the OS, as in installing from the OS out of a retail box, but it may have shipped with old Macs.
I did actually find a Windows clone... the link posted above seems to have a download link for the original game, but if any of you want to try this, if you have a second computer running Windows, here's that: http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?id=4452
Thanks for the help.
