Any guesses on whether or not this game will be ported to the Mac? I absolutely LOVED KOTOR, and I'm hoping the sequel makes it to the Mac. Just curious if anyone has heard anything.
Thanks,
Tom

Probably not. It's not a great game. They didn't even finish the story before it was released. It was done by a different development group, and without Bioware all the nice little touches seem to be missing.

Agreed. The game's just not that good. In fact, it manages to look worse than the first game (not the first one looked bad.) I stopped playing it after I managed to get off the moon or planetoid, or whatever it was in the beginning. It bored me to tears.

I don't know, it can't be that bad. It was made by Obsidian which is a company made up by former Bioware employees. They are also making Neverwinter Nights 2 and these are the same people who made Icewind Dale.
That said, I would really like to see KotOR 2 on the Mac. I bought the first game for the Mac and really enjoyed it. In fact I was just playing through it again just the other day!
cheers

I have played it and thought it was better than the first as far as character developement. The ability to go prestige classes as a Jedi Master, Weaponsmaster or Watchman was a nice touch. Nice to start out as a jedi, even though you must build your lightsaber. The ability to upgrade and build items is even better. There is more depth and replay value as well. If you really liked the first you probably will like 2 as well. I went out and built an Athlon64 system and an enjoying it. I had to give up on Mac gaming. The politics are gonna kill it in time at the present rate.

It's an unfinished game that was rushed out for the holiday season in 2004. The lack of polish really shows. It won't be coming to the Mac.
Xboxs are cheap.
