So after deciding that my new copy of Unreal Tournament 2004 was keeping me from my studies, I deleted it. My neuro grades thanked me. Now that my med school classes are over, though, I'm back in my home town and I created an image of my install disc so that I would not have to carry it with me. Needless to say, the installer asks me to insert the DVD even though the disk image is properly mounted and CD key entered. This sucks.

I do not have a DVD-R on me right now, but I fear that even burning a copy will not work (due to watermark?), so I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions short of getting my cousin to physically mail the actual DVD to me.

What you need is a program to mount the image as a "CD". Much like this http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/29291

Well, the .dmg file that I made from the original DVD mounts like a DVD, so I'm not sure how the installer is attempting to detect the DVD, probably querying the drive directly.

That program seems to only automate launching a game when the CD or DVD is put in the drive. It didn't help with installing UT2K4, though.

Well, burning it to a DVD worked. Now, for some unreal action!
