Ok, probably not the type of games discussed here, but that's not the point. I have tried to install this from the CD on various machines (G4 running OS10.3.9, G5s/10.3.9), all within minimum required specs per box. The installer app just bounces in the dock, then quits. Any one else have issues? Fixes? Thanks.

Strange, we bought the Incredibles for PC/Mac at Target and it refused to run on my iMac g4. We haven't bothered to try it on our ne Core Duo iMac

Have heard from THQ. Still trying to figure it out. 1st response stated defective disc, and exchange it. Already did that twice. Same result. Not sure what's up yet, but I did download the demo and it ran fine. Tried from the disc and copying installer to desktop, no go. So maybe problem with the installer?

Also requested free download instead of disc. will report back.

On my 20" Intel iMac, I received an error message from the installer when I accepted the
default install location. Chose the Applications folder and it installed without problems.

Also you need to insert disk #2, which is the play disk, to run it.

Seems my issue is now fixed. Booted in OS 10.4 from another drive and installer finally ran. Didn't try running game since I have not yet upgraded to Tiger (time, laziness issue). Rebooted back in 10.3.9 and game now runs fine. Package says 1.2 GHz processor. My G4/933 runs ok, although not as smooth as I would like. Would like to see it on faster machine (upgrade soon, i hope!) to see if it runs better!

My kids are lobbying me to get this game, so I'm still curious as to why this workaround was necessary.

Frankly, I'm not a big fan of THQ. The games based on "The Incredibles" wouldn't play unless I unplugged my secondary monitor, which I think is stupid. And both had to be installed and run by the same user, another sore point for me. Halo doesn't have these problems.

As a game, it's just ok. not a lot of variety in the type of games included, but characters are still fun. Granted, I haven't fully gone through all the games, but it requires that some be unlocked with cheat codes, while others probably demand a lot more time investment.

As far as the system issues, not sure why it is necessary, or why it worked. Didn't try to troubleshoot after it worked.

If it were me and I owned a gaming system, i would opt for that over the computer game, though. May be more playable.

the game is so so. I wouldn't recommend it. Not as much play value as I would have liked. They are already bored of it.
signatures are a waste of bandwidth
especially ones with political tripe in them.

Well...I own a PC and it is a 1.1 GHZ machine. They list 1.2 GHZ as the spec and it will install but will not run. After sending the issue and my system specs they wrote back that the 1.2 GHZ is required and that is my issue and refuse to discuss further. I have apps requiring much more than that and they run fine. very odd.

Strange, my quicksilver is a 933mhz g4, and it runs ok. Who knows. And, for all that messin' around, the game really isn't worth the hassle.
