I want to play on my iMac G5 Counter Strike 1.6 and I can't find it anywhere for Mac's. Is there some program or something (an emulator maybe) that will allow me to play cs for pc on my iMac?

I have OSX 10.3.9

Thank you

No, you can't play Counter Strike on a PowerPC Mac.

So, there is no Counter Strike available for Mac and the PC one can't be emulated? It is incredible. Such a popular game .

I know...I have bemoaned this sad fact for so long. CS is still the best online multiplayer game. The problem with emulation is that the emulators never give access to your 3D card. Now, CS should run beautifully on one of the new Intel Macs, but I'd think that'd be cold comfort.

Than if the emulator doesn't give access to the 3D card it means that the game will only run in software mode?

Where can I find some emulators? Are there some free ones available?

You would be better at looking at selling your G5 iMac and buying a Core Duo iMac and running CS via bootcamp and windows. You won't get anywhere with CS in an emulator.

If it ran at all (AFAIK none of the emulators include any 3D support), the performance wouldn't be worth it. We're talking a slideshow at minimum res and quality.
