Btw. I searched the forum for any topics on this and didn't find anything. I apologize if there is.
So im getting my iMac in a few weeks , but want to run Quake 4. It will be a 17' Intel Duo Core iMac with 1GB of Ram.
Would this be suitable for medium settings ?

My G5 doesn't do to well on higher end games. It does OK on Call of Duty 2, but it won't run Quake 4 at very acceptable speeds. It has the NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 with 64Mb of VRAM, nothing special but it works good with games like Knights of the Old Republic and Jedi Academy which are my favorite games.

That's the problem. That card is a pile.

Well apparently you've tried high end games and it isn't good enough. I'm in the same boat though. 9800 Pro isn't enough with most games only written for one CPU.
