Ok, I can get onto the network and play some online mario kart but only if i disable wep. I cannot get the settings to accept my wep key no matter what. What could I be doing wrong? Also, what exactly are the friend keys?

P.S. People that "snake" suck and they make me want to not play online with them.

Friend keys allow you to play with friends over Wifi. Network play works with my WEP for Mario Kart here.

WEP works for me too. Do you know where to go in your DS settings to configure your connection? There are a lot more settings in the WiFi config screen then there are at the initial wifi set up screen.

If you can snake then do it! It's a skill. One that most of us haven't mastered. Them telling you not to snake is like them asking you to be a noob so they don't lose as bad.

I got my DS working with my AP Express by changing the WEP key to 40-bit and using only five letters. That was a two-step troubleshoot, but it works. My AP Express has a profile set just for when I want to play some DS.

"Snake"? You mean drifting? This is one of the key aspects and skills in running courses, the whole purpose being to gain speed from rough or difficult turns. You make it sound like a dirty little hack or something.

Snaking is when you drift back and forth constantly. Even on straight stretches. If you can get it perfect then it's pretty much a limitless boost. It's so much more then just drifting I wish I could do it.

Oh, using the boost mechanic on straight-aways, too. I didn't realize they called that snaking. Makes sense—you do kinda snake back and forth.

Well the DS works with my AP Express with my regular 128 bit WEP key. Just find the equivalent password from the base station menu bar (AP config program).
I'm-a trying to wonder, wonder, wonder why you, wonder, wonder why you act so.
