i just want to know if that comp is good for gaming
i meen, i bored of pc, and want to trie a mac

is that computer good to run games.. like world of warcraft / warcraft / will that comp will run WoW perfectly

if yes

do you think that that comp will be able to run recent game in 2-3 years..

or will i have to change my hole comp.

this will be my first computer and .. well its alot of money .. i dont want to waist it ..lol
+i can easaly wait for ( heard there was a new imac coming ) anyway.. but i would like it before september 16. ( i want the student -100$ ) i can have before the 16th!

I have that machine, and it runs WoW great

Imac Core Duo 1.83/1.5 GB/20 inch cinema, ibook G4 1 ghz

To answer your questions, it plays games OKAY. It isn't spectacular. It will NOT be able to run recent games in 2-3 years, the iMac has an onboard graphics card, which CANNOT BE UPGRADED. I would suggest getting a used powermac instead. That way you can upgrade the graphics card, cpu, ram, hard drive, and add PCI cards.

I'd say it runs current games well. Games in 3 years will probably still run, but only barely.

As said, the graphics board isn't upgradeable. I don't agree that you should get a used Powermac, though - it's not at all certain that anyone will keep making graphics boards for them in 3 years, and without that future expandability it's not a very good buy. The iMac will also let you run Windows for the games not yet ported to the Mac and switch back to the Mac for everything else.

New Macs are always coming. I've given up trying to predict when, but it does look like a refresh is about to happen rather soon.
