i recently bought a genuine copy of doom 3
in order to play the game i upgrade my doom version to 1.3 to universal binery
but somehow it still doesn't work!
it bounces on the dock for few seconds then it disappears.

(i have a macbook pro 17")

help!!!

You could look at the crash log in the Apple System Profiler and see if it points to anything. Other than that. i don't have a clue.

where can i see the crash log? i can't find it anywhere..
when the icon disappears in the dock.. does it mean it crashed?

I thought they showed up in Apple System Profiler, but the application crash logs don't seem to be there. I think they may be in the Users/username/Library/logs/CrashReports . Look for a log with the application name in the folder and you should be able to open it to read what happened. Sometimes a log will point to something specific and other times it muight just be a general kernel problem.

Doom 3 didn't seem to crash on my mac.

No, I don't have Shapeshifter on my intel mac!

I guess. there's probably no hope.. = =

Well, you could always try asking Aspyr for help. Go to their site and I'm sure they have a contact for support.
