I'm going to post some stuff from the Sierra forum. Since Sierra can't be reached by e-mail, this is the only place to vent:

http://forums.vugames.com/thread.jsp...4&tstart=0

The chances of any game from VUG/Sierra being released for the Mac is virtually nil. I don't have any official word or special knowledge on this but it doesn't look to me like this will ever happen. They pretty much gave up the Mac market after they saw the dismal Caesar III for Mac sales back in 1997. According the sales figures they made public at that time Caesar III for Mac only sold 12,000 copies. Caesar III for PC sold 350,000 copies during the same period. PC copies of Caesar III continue to sell today, and sales figures are well over 1 million copies by now. - Keith Heitmann (Moderator)

Our current plan is for World In Conflict to be Windows only.Sierra has supported Macintosh in the past, but the share of OS X is still around 5% of the market, and the people who are passionate about PC gaming typically have a windows machine, so it makes it very tough to make back the money it would take to create a port and ship a OS X version. My thought right now is to put that investment back towards the game content itself. I am not a Apple-hater -- in fact I'm a huge fan (I rode a cancer charity ride last year with Jef Raskin's name on my jersey ). And now with Boot Camp and Intel chips all the other things that keep happening out there, it's impossible to rule anything out completely. All things considered, WIC for Mac is a very slim possibility. - Guy Welch (VUG Marketing Representivie)

If you want to see Sierra games on the Mac platform its up to YOU to get involved. Sierra seems to think that Mac users are a waste of time. Do them a favour and e-mail them. If you are like me, you also won't support them by purchaing this game to run under Boot Camp.

Well, someone once said that AoE 3 won't be out for the Mac because of some new gaming engine that it was based one which could not be ported, but it's coming out sometime this month!!

In any case, Caesar 3 was a decent game, but too much micromanagement for me.

I am one of the few who bought Caesar III for the Mac. The Mac version had much larger playable maps than the PC version.

I bought my first PC after Sierra announced that they were cancelling the Mac version of Pharaoh. I emailed, called, wrote letters, to Sierra but it did not change things, so I went to the dark side and learned things like "blue screen of death" and reinstalling the operating system. The instruction booklet for Pharaoh has instructions for installation and play on a Mac. The Mac version of the game had been announced in one of the Mac magazines, complete with a screenshot.

I later bought the PC version of Caesar from a bargain bin so I could use some of the maps on Caesar Heaven. That was when I discovered how much larger the Mac maps were.
