Thanks for the explanation.
There's more to this!
I have a g4 mini and I've never played a game on a mac before.
I installed Sims 2 (paid £40 for it!) and it runs horrible. I've never seen anything like it. Don't get me wrong, I am a convert to the mac cause, but I sure miss my 3GB pc with 2GB ram for it's gaming power & it's 60fps.
So, I started looking for old games e.g Command & Conquer, Warcraft etc but it appears that these games are for the previous mac OS, not OS X. So I can't run old games and I can't run new ones. And I'm already £40 out of pocket
I went looking for Age Of Empires II for Mac, but there is no longer any demo available for mac so I didn't know if it would work/run ok. Instead of using google with a load of games priced in US$ that I don't know will work, I searched in amule for game OS X. I saw AOE2 I thought it might be demo. It wasn't. It was the full monty. But I didn't understand how it could run without a serial number.
The strange world of Mac gaming...
PS. I have PC versions of most of these games. Should I delete the download or am I covered license wise?
