The Universal patch for SC4 is coming very soon, SC5 is just a blip on the horizon at this point. Word is that it will be greatly simplified for the masses.

Do you have a source for the "very soon" patch?

When I mailed the support a while ago, they said that a patch wasn't on the way at all.

I stopped trying to play it, since I got tired of the performance and the glithcy scenery and cars and lights disappearing all the time.

"greatly simplified"? The only fault with SC4 was that you couldn't edit terrain in region mode. If you wanted to make a region so all of the city corners matched it was a hard or nearly impossible job. I also would like some region templates.
