I used to be able to run 2 accounts on my old PC now i tried this on my mac pro and it will not load up the second account. I don't see why this will not work. Any ideas or other threads related to what i want to do?

thanks

You probably need to have two separate WoW folders for it to work. Just duplicate your folder, then run one account from one, and the other from the duplicate.

Sounds like a plan, but wont that make it like a waste of Storage space? Or conflict with the original folder?

I highly doubt that two folders would make any difference. I use multiple accounts (interchangeable) on all my macs: A Mac Pro, a 20" G5 iMac, a 24" iMac and a PowerBook G4 with no problems whatsoever. I also used to do multiple accounts on an iBook a year ago or so. So there should be absolutely no reason why this won't work for you. Try reinstalling.

You were two-boxing with one copy of the program? How on earth does that work?

The difference is he's trying to run two accounts on the same machine simultaneously; the way you describe it sounds like you were only running one instance of the application at a time, and logging out and back in with the separate account.

I don't think you can create a second running instance of the WoW app by running from within the same folder, at least not on the Mac. I know when I was doing the beta for TBC, I was able to run the regular WoW program and the Beta program side-by-side, but they were in separate folders (as an aside -- that makes things REALLY rough on an upgraded Digital Audio G4).

The default behavior under OS X (as it has been on the Mac for years before) is that double-clicking on or trying to open/run an already-running program simply brings it to the front. In order to run two side-by-side copies of the same program, you need two physical copies of it on the HD. Contrast this with Windows, where multiple windows of a single application (IE is a perfect example) are treated as separately running programs.

There is a way in terminal to open multiple copies of the same app at once. I could swear the "open" command would let you, but that's not it apparently.
