Hey, I was wondering if the xbox 360 had a HDMI port on it? If not, how do you connect it to a hd tv for hd quality? Thanking you.

The new elite has an HDMI port. The others connect via Component cables, which work just fine for HD.

No. You can get only full quality HD analog output on Component cables.

You gotta watch there, composite cables are RCA cables with 1 for video and 2 for sound, component is 3 for video and 2 for sound. Composite can't handle HD, component can. The Xbox 360 comes with a cable that can handle both composite and component and has a little switch to switch between the two. You can also get a cable that comes with a VGA connection, just in case you want to hook up your Xbox 360 to a monitor.

The VGA cable has to be bought separately and costs about $40 bucks.
For the second part, (if I understand you right) the answer is yes. The Premium 360 comes with one cord, that has both composite and component hookups on the end. You can hook it up to either.

Oh yeah, and if you do buy a 360, be sure to get a warranty because the build quality is complete garbage.
Just add it to the cost when you think about it. A Core is $360 and a premium is $460.

Fry's Electronics sells their warranties for $45, and they're just replace it in store, instantly over the course of two years.
But only once.
