I'm using an iBook G4, 12", 512 RAM, Radeon Mobility 9200, 30GB HD if that helps.
Anyways, I insert the disc, open the disc, double click on the "Install StarCraft" icon, then click "Install StarCraft". I put my name in and the CD key, as it asks. Then it asks for the location and what I want to install, and right after I click "Install", it says, "Could not create folder 'Starcraft Folder'"
Any idea how to fix it?
Thanks.

Do you have write permission for the folder where you're trying to install it?

Yes - what is the location you're trying to install it?

I'm sorry, I got it installed. Must have been the write permission, because I just installed it to the desktop and its fine. Thanks though.

Sorry to threadjack, but have there been any Universal Binary versions of the OSX installer made for starcraft? Running it in rosetta works fine but it uses up 100% of my CPU power. Doesn't cause any issues, its just annoying for the fan in my Macbook to be running at full tilt just to play starcraft.

No, but Blizzard has intimated that they're working on such a thing, along with a UB for the game itself.

This is my first post on these forums, so hello all! Anyway, I'm also having problems installing Starcraft onto OS X. I have the Classic support installed and that runs fine. I put in the disc and double-click on the Starcraft Installer application, but then I receive the message "Couldn't open installer archive. You must run the installer on the Starcraft CD". This has me a bit stumped as I'm already doing that. I've tried a reboot and that hasn't solved anything. Does anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, I used the native installer, and it really helps. Up until then, I was thinking I'd be deprived of StarCraft on my Mac Mini.
