Anyone remember that game that (I think) came out on Windows 3, then there were various incarnations including a pretty good networked version for the Mac. I can't remember the name of it.

It's usually 2 to 12 players or so. You have little canons or tanks and you choose the vector of your shot. Each round you can make some money and buy different kinds of weapons like a "digger" or a Napalm.

There are a lot of clones of that game, but the only one I can think of is Pocket Tanks

Scorched Earth! My bro just remembered it.

Pocket Tanks is what brought me to look for it again.

Dome Wars. That's the Mac version of Scorched Earth. It's also networkable.

There are a million versions of that game. I wrote one myself for my Casio 9700 graphing calculator back in the nineties (YES, really). Worms is another famous one, but Scorched Earth was the first.
