I have some major issues with WoW on Mac.
I posted about this issue in the application section but no one replied, so here it is again:
When I play WoW it sets my keyboard and mouse shortcuts required for gaming but the problem is when i return to the desktop the shortcuts are not returned to what they were before playing WoW.
This results in losing dashboard and expose functionality.. i have to go in system preferences and reset the mouse middle button to dashboard and F9-F12 keys for expose.
It sucks to reset the keys every single time i end my WoW session.
I am sure there are lot of WoW gamers here... so what do you guys do? does anyone know if there is a way to automate the shortcut key reseting upon exiting WoW?

Post on the Mac only help forums at Blizz's website; their people respond to your post even if its not related to Mac's.

This used to happen to me, but then I realized it only happens when WoW isn't shut down properly. If you force quit WoW (or if, in some rare instance, it crashes), it won't switch back the Exposé keys. Otherwise, on normal quit, it should be fine. It is for me anyway.

Esc > Exit Game > Exit Now

is this not the normal way to exit?

(I never Command+Alt+Esc > Force Quit)

Get Fubar and fu_Exit. or could try zapping pram, cuz I never have problems in-game with either Mac.

Esc > Logout > Back > Quit

I've been having this same problem and logged out the only other way that you can without force quitting or just hitting exit now and it actually set my shortcuts back to what they should be even though they were messed the last time and I never fixed them.

Logout > Back > Quit

And you wonder why Windows users get confused when they switch to Mac. They are looking for eight shortcuts when you only need one.

Eight shortcuts?

Everyone exits from WoW the exact same way, on Windows and on Mac. We're referring to the context menus within the game, not in the Mac OS. There are 2 separate ways to exit the game, unless you force it closed with shut down commands. Pressing escape will bring up the main context menu, then from there you can quite the game totally or you can logout and be brought back to the login screen where you can log into another account, or hit the quite button and exit the game totally.
