For me there are so many amazing titles on the horizon I can hardly handle it.

My list is:
Halo 3
Bioshock
Mass Effect
GTA IV
Heavenly Sword
Killzone 2
Mario Galaxy

There are probably more but there are some off of the top of my head.

for this year (in no order):

Bioshock
Eternal Sonata
Assassin's Creed
Halo 3
COD4
HL2 Orange Box
Mass Effect

...All shaping up to be unmissable AAA titles for 360 (despite HL2's age, I've always wanted to play it, i'm pumped for it!)

Unfortunately I own no other consoles, otherwise I'd add:
Metroid Prime 3: corruption, Galaxy, MGS4 (this year?)

I won't even bother posting games past this year, there are way too many unmissable titles coming out...

if you have any cash or free time you can kindly transfer it to me?

As well you should be. HL2 (even slightly choppy on original xbox) impressed me to no end in the depth and detail found throughout the entire game. The incredibly engrossing story actually had me caring about secondary characters (which is rare in a FPS) and I beat the game no less than ten times. I look forward to revisiting HL2 with better graphics (and framerate). Of course Ep 1 and Ep 2 will have me busy for months....oh yeah and Portal.....and Team Fortress and....christ I'm going to be busy.

Between Orange box and Halo 3 on XBox Live I can't see having much of a need for any other games....plus I can't afford other games.

I'm really anxious to hear how good Metroid on Wii is.

Getting one for Xmas could be a real possibility...especially since it's cheaper than the iPod I already got.

BioShock seems like a gruesome Myst/Riven except FPS based, so naturally I'm intrigued.

I watched a few gameplay videos on youtube and I'm really impressed.

Yeah, that was actually one of my first thoughts. It's the first game to feel like Myst/Riven in a long time, except it's a FPS.

Oh yeah and still waiting for Gran Turismo on a PSP... I think I can give up on that one now though.

The brass bell you get in right at the beginning of the demo looks just like the vehicle in Myst that you pilot based on sounds you hear.

As I said in the Bioshock thread the demo was a bit more shoot em up than I had expected, I guess they wanted to let you see the mechanics of fighting....but I hope it isn't all action since most other FPS have that down pat.

GTA IV and Battlefield: Bad Company. But I'm hoping both will come out for the PC, seeing as I don't own a console. I'd get Halo 3, but I haven't even played Halo 2 yet. (I don't want to get Vista...)

Oh, I am alright. But this is a thread about console games. You see, the Xbox 360 and PS3 can't handle Crysis Yay for PC's!

Anyways, the game looks awesome. I just hope my PC is up to it.

I might pick-up a burned copy of the new Stuntman. Yeah, the first one wasn't that great and Infograms track record on this gen isn't all the stellar, but I still like the concept.

Crysis is evidently a beast. I'd love to play Company of Heroes, but I don't even own a PC, much less one capable of playing most games.

I forgot to say Skate; which by the way, the demo is out now on Xbox Live. Definitely going to download it when I get home.

I've grown tired of the over the top Tony Hawk series. The original Tony Hawk games were brilliant. Skate looks to be more 'sane'.

I think anyone who is a true fan of street skating is going to be more interesting in skate than the THPS series.

Let me know how the demo is. I was listening to a podcast where they try to remind people to stick with the control scheme and to remember that the full game takes place in an open world, not just the tiny skate park in the demo. They say to stick with it; there is a deep learning curve.

Skate is really good. The controls feel a lot nicer than A for ollie, Y for grind, etc. You get a sense of accomplishment out of landing your tricks and stringing lines together.
For example, to manual you push the right stick slightly forwards or backwards.

The game is a lot more realistic than the Tony Hawk series, but it is still a little unrealistic in the sense that you can pull off a lot of flip tricks while grinding. I nollied to a noseslide, 360 shuvit to boardslide, and then two other flips to grinds, along one rail.

One thing I could not pull off is a darkslide. I wonder if it's possible in this game.
At the end of the demo there is a video footage from the full game. One guy goes up a bank, kickflips his board under a rail, jumps over the rail and lands on the board again. I tried to flip at a rail hoping my board would go under and I'd go over. No such luck. I have no idea how they pulled off that move.
I hope there are no 'special moves' in the full game. I like how every move you can do but you have to figure out how. By figure out I mean that if you want to do a blunt slide, you can grind to a tail slide and then shift your body into the bluntslide position. The same for front and back flips. Grab your board and lean your body.
I'll be a kinda upset if there are 'special moves' in the sense of a button press to do a trick. In my opinion, it'd go against everything that the right stick controls brought to the game.

All in all, great game. If you don't mind the learning curve and enjoy the Tony Hawk series, I'm sure you'll love this.
I'm getting it as soon as it comes out.

It's pretty damn good. It doesn't do anything revolutionary, in fact, everything in it has been done before.

However, everything was assembled reaaaally well, the fighting mechanics, the graphics (obviously), and the exploration of areas not needed to beat the game.

I just wish it would stop telling me to get a hint when I am ransacking a new level for all the goodies!
