I was wondering what kind of 3D Mark 06 scores all the Intel Macs are getting with Apple's hardware configurations.

Please list your score using 3D Mark's default settings and list your specs and driver version in this thread. Overclocking permitted but please mention clock rates. Also tell if you are using XP or Vista.

Here is mine:

3D Mark 06 Build 1.1.0

Default settings: 1280x768, no AA, Optimal Filtering, HLSL 3_0

MacBook Pro Core Duo 2.16Ghz 1GB RAM
Radeon X1600 256MB
ATI Catalyst 7.9 Drivers
Windows XP Pro SP2

@ Apple Default clock speed (310Mhz GPU / 292Mhz Memory)
1583 3D Marks

@ ATI X1600 Default clock speed (464Mhz GPU / 464Mhz Memory)
2326 3D Marks
It was quite difficult to get my clock speed up and keep things stable. The CPU test portion of 3D Mark 06 would heat up the MBP and cause corruptions or freezes. Also found out that ATITool doesn't always change the clock speeds even when it says it does. You have to keep an eye on the app's 3D view to make sure it does change clock speeds.

To get a stable clock and benchmark I directed cool air from the room's air conditioner to flow towards the notebook and also set Windows' resolution to 1280x768 before I launched 3D Mark.

One thing I don't understand is the message that I was given after I got my result:

The result you just submitted was not run with default benchmark settings. All of the charts and information provided on these pages are based on benchmark results run with default settings, and thus the shown comparisons are not accurate. To obtain accurate comparisons, please re-run the benchmark with default settings.
This must be an error because the free version of 3D Mark doesn't allow any settings to be changed.

I am actually a moderator on the forums there and all I can seem to find are my scores from back when my PC was my primary computer. I know I ran some tests and posted them from my Mac Pro but since the merge of YouGamers and Futuremark I have forgotten my login credentials.

I'd really like to see what score your Mac Pro achieves. Especially the CPU tests. Those were so intense. I can't imagine anything less than something more powerful than a hypothetical 10Ghz CPU being able to achieve smooth frameage.

The CPU definitely does help but it is more of the processing power of the GPU.

Hah, yeah I wonder how low my MacBook would score with its integrated graphics.

With your MacBook's specs about 200. That's no typo, I really mean two hundred.

There are two CPU tests in the suite that don't use the GPU. It's so demanding on the processor that most CD/C2D processors between 2Ghz to 2.4Ghz can only manage 1 or 2 frames per second.
