I know that title isn't all that original, but I've got a few games that I've had for PC, and I was wondering if there is any OS X installers/patches for them. I've googled all of them and haven't found much, if anything. The games are listed below and they're all legal, no warez here.

Star Wars: KOTOR
Doom 3
UT 2003
UT GOTY (This somewhat runs under XP via vmware fusion, but the controls are outta whack)
iPod video 30gb | MacBook 2.2ghz, 2gb ram, 120gb, superdrive, Leopard | Mac Mini PPC 1.42, 1gb, 80gb, combo, Leopard

UT kills. The latest version is coming to the Mac.

Ok... so no luck with getting the PC versions on the mac? Looks like I'm stuck. And yeah, the original UT is one of my favorites.

He is right in a way. Mac OS should do what it does best and leave gaming to Windows) which Macs can do) and consoles. Mac OS for productivity.

To answer the OP: it sounds like you're running Windows through VMWare Fusion: that's fine for non-3D applications, but not so hot for games. Instead, check out Boot Camp to install Windows natively on your Mac (Note: this is only an option for your MacBook, not your Sawtooth G4). You can even install Windows once via Boot Camp and then access the partition through VMWare when you are not playing games.

Dude I've played games on the mac since 1995. From the 7th guest to the Journeyman Project, Marathon to FA-18 hornet, Quake to Unreal, Quake 3 to UT, and now today's era, in which I play a few CIDER-ized games just fine, along with UT2004, Wolfenstein ET, and UT99. I played PREY and it ran flawlessly at 1920X1200, and beat that, and I booted into windows and play HL2. Everything I've mentioned has run great on whatever Mac OS I was running at the time.

Thanks for the info so far. I knew VMware fusion is limited when it comes to 3D apps, and I didn't even bother to try some of the higher powered games in it. Also, I've run almost all of those games on linux at one time, and I thought I found patches or installers for OS X, but I'm not absolutely sure. Once I get some time I'm probably going to partition and install XP pro, then I'll be able to access it via vmware fusion. I'm not a hardcore gamer or anything, but I just happened to have those titles for the Athlon PC I used to have.

I think he was referencing the fact that you mentioned booting into Windows for HL2, then said that every game you mentioned ran in some version of Mac OS. Not that there's anything wrong with Windows for HL2 - I'm in the middle of Nova Prospekt, myself.
