Since this page is yet to be graced with any screenshots, and the fact that I'm bored at work, here are a few random shots I took recently:

Tipstick
I stuck this dudes gun right on the barrel tip. Odd thing was, it detonated and didn't even effect his overshield. He ended up takin me down.

I'll Stick You if You Stick Me
Me and some random dude sticking each other with plasma nades.

Hi Mom!
Just thought this was a good pic.

Here's a little trick I found out from a teammate last night. Remember that hatch on top of the bunker on High Ground? You can close that door after it has been opened.

Step 1. - Throw a Gravity Lift down the hatch.

Step 2. - Watch the door rise and then close.

Step 3. - Wait for the enemy to use the Gravity Lift and hope they don't notice the door is shut.

Step 4. - Now they're stuck. This is the perfect opportunity to put the shotgun and proximity voice to good use.

Slick shoes?!! Are you crazy?!!

It's amusing the things that make me tick. I saw ::maroma:: was on, but playing campaign and unjoinable, so I decided to try for my achievements again. Everytime I checked he was on a level ahead of mine, so I kept going until I finished all the same ones.

edit: also, I don't think I'll be doing the Ark alone. It is such a bitch.

Should be intresting if you notice any withdrawl symptoms.

So I got home for the bar last night and decided to do some more achievement hunting -- specifically the Killing Frenzy. I figure my best bet is with the Ghost, so I'm basically doing Snowbound, Iso, and Highground. Also, once my first run is over, I usually quit (Don't wanna win). My second try I get up to 8 on Isolation before some dude I'm not trying to hit gets me in one hit with a shotgun as I breeze past. It was impressive.

Finally, about 3 - 5 tries later, I get Highground, which i figure is my worst chance -- two Ghosts and a great laser spot. Get my first kill, then die. Gah. But then I spawn next to the other Ghost, so I decide to keep going, since I'm no threat to win yet, really.

I spend the entire match running around on that Ghost, which is pretty boring considering people aren't in the wide open too much. But wouldn't you know, as I was building towards 10 I was also holding the lead. Bang! I get my Frenzy, die shortly after, but since I have the lead I make the most of it and try to win the game.

So now I only have Steppin' and 2 for 1 to worry about (and Buddy), so I veto Epitaph and quit out of the next game. Do another search, get stuck with Epitaph, so I say what the hell, I'm sick of achievement hunting, I'll play it for real (I suck on Epitaph). Get it off to a rocky start, bit I'm in the 2-4 range. Get the rockets, then I go nuts eventually picking them up again to eventually get another Killing Frenzy, this one earned by accident. I get this one to 11 before I die.

Best part -- as hard as I tried this game, I finished second. How about that. But back-to-back KIlling Frenzies. Awesome.

Edit: Oh yeah, any chance we bang out a bracket today?

Man, I could've played all afternoon, except I got 3 hours of sleep last night and went to breakfast with my grandparents.

Needless to say my ass took a nap as soon as I got home. I am now waiting for the girlfriend to come over so today is moot.

Good work on the Frenzies, my good chum!

Sorry about missing your invites and stuff yesterday Dakar. It wasn't me that was on at the time, it was my bro. I told him he could play while I was out running around if he got me an achievement.

I've got 6 more damn achievements. The same 3 as you have for multi-player, and then the 2 50,000 pt levels and Marathon Man. I plan on knocking out the 3 campaign achievements this week. I think I'm just going to have to get real lucky on the multi-player ones. Either that or I'm going to cheat and get 2 buddies to come with me and knock em out.

I'm totally down for that. I'd be willing to help out anyone else as well the ones I have don't work out.

Steppin' Razor
Triple kill with a sword in a Ranked Free For All match.
Need at least 2 people minimum other than the sword carrier. One person grabs the sword, the 2 "target dummies" meet the sword carrier in a good spot to hide (preferably somewhere out of main traffic area) and wait for some poor random sap to run by. Take out the random sap, turn around and take out the 2 target dummies. Of course with 4 people total, we wouldn't need to wait for the random sap.

Two For One
Double kill with one Laser shot in a Ranked Free For All match.
Need at least 2 people minimum other than the laser carrier. Same deal as the other one, but just need to grab the Laser and have the 2 target dummies meet you somewhere safe and line up for the hot laser up the arse.

Maybe Next Time Buddy
Board the same vehicle within 10 seconds after being boarded in any free for all playlist.
This one is the easiest to help out on. Just need 2 people minimum. Doesn't need to be a ranked match, so a social would be fine. Pretty self-explanatory from here.

That feels so... dirty. That said, I can kinda look at it like my Killing Frenzy achievement. I'll eventually get one legit, so what's the harm in speeding up the process?

Oh, I do need help getting the Cortana skull, though.

Decog also needs the Cortana skull. We should get that sometime for sure. Gotta unlock that Hyabusa!

I'll be on a little tonight. Probably going to try one of those 50,000 pt levels and see how it goes. I may revert back to multi-player if it doesn't go so well.

By the way, which skulls do you activate when you do point runs? I've been activating the one that disables your radar, and the one that reduces ammo. I ran a couple with the one that makes you start the level all over again if you die, but had to turn that off when I got through the first few levels. I've been running on Normal for the harder levels too.

And of course Grunt Birthday Party and the one that adds in funny dialog here and there for laughs.

I used Tough Luck (enemies never back down/charge at you), Catch (enemies throw lots of grenades...and kill themselves a lot of the time), Famine (weapons you pick up have low ammo), and Fog (no radar). Played on Normal and went as fast as possible for the time multiplier and never had to play a level twice. It worked for me.

Nice, I'll have to try Tough Luck and Catch tonight. So if enemies kill themselves with a grenade, do you still get the points?

well they usually kill other enemies or hurt them so they are easier to kill but i'm not sure if you still get the points if they actually kill themselves/another enemy. Truthfully i blew past the score needed on all levels by thousands except Vanguard (mission seven) i only got a few points over the 50k...always remember head-shots are your friend.

I usually go Thunderstorm, Famine, Fog, and Tough Luck. You can't rely on me getting a time multiplier with any regularity.

I'll be available for some H3 tonight if anyone else is interested.

I'll probably not play if no-one is on. I'm getting sick of playing with randoms all the time...plus 45 seems to be where I'm going to stay for the rest of my career.

I hear that. I'm down to a 28, and unless I start leveling with a set team or start going nuts on the BR, this is where I'll end.

...and now to do some campaign and try and catch-up to scumass.

God, I really suck playing alone. Realized to save the invincibility for the main run. Turned a skull off, and did the Warthog drive 1st try and the best I could muster was the 1.5x time multiplier. Was enough, though.

Dakar and I kicked ass tonight and got some practice in for the NN Grand Prix....you guys don't stand a chance

BTW, of all the ranked games we played tonight I averaged a 1.51 k/d. The most fun was the first (unranked) BTB game where I got you a frenzy right off the bat by whippin' around in the hog. Good times...

Taking a few day break from Halo is a really good idea sometimes.

Yeah, last night was the first I've had fun on Halo since our last meet-up, probably.

I always want to smack you in the back of the head when you get in the driver's seat. Lucky for you I was shooting pretty well last night.

The Rumble Pit game was better than expected (thanks to it matching us up with Captains). I just don't get how I never had to worry about the laser. I guess that's Social for you.

I need to see about that splatter I had on Sandtrap, too. I fell down one of those holes on the structures and splattered someone when they broke my Warthog's fall.

...and yes, you people are quite screwed. Get your Rocket Race practice in. We had two firsts and two 9 pt seconds.

Cripes I need to find a partner for that! I hope I get to drive, since I suck at shooting rockets.

I didn't have as much fun as you guys, but I did get my last 3 campaign achievements done. The 2 50,000 pt levels weren't so bad. I ended up with 65k at least on both of them. Also finished Marathon Man at the same time. So no more campaign crapola for me. 3 more achievements to go!

I assumed you were gonna use Decog.

klb: I'm assuming SRD is your partner choice, but make it official. Also, choose your Team Color (Purple is taken) and Team Name.

stogie / chuckit: you guys haven't expressed any interest thus far, but I'm not above soliciting / begging for your participation. Having 4 teams would be perfect. Remember, guests are welcome.

I haven't double-checked these yet, but it looks like we'll be using the RR maps on this page, if you want to preview them. I'll get the last map, Fast Resort, up eventually.

Well, the way I have it scheduled, we'll be doing 2 sessions of 5 locations. Not sure how long they'll take but 2 hours seems like plenty for each session. It would be nice to do them within a week of each other, though.
