I hated how that was default on GTAIII, nothing like trying to snipe some Columbians and looking at the sky or ground most of the time.

Yes. It drives me crazy when games default to the other way.

dude speaking of GTAIII, i booted up some vice city on the PS3 a few days back just to get some pregame for GTAIV, it was such a good time, like playing A Link to the Past again.

I dunno how it is on the PS3 but it sputters like crazy on the 360. I had to turn off the blur effects to make it run semi-decent.

Never used the PS3 controller but when I heard about the absence of rumble I laughed to myself.
Good ol' Sony knowing what's best for everyone.

From what I've heard, it's not even like that. The story I heard is that Sony caught wind of the Wiimote fairly late in the game and decided they wanted a controller like that, but they couldn't manager to get both motion-sensing and vibration to work together. Don't know if that's so, but it's what I've heard.

That was a case of them being unable to use it due to being in litigation with the copyright holder.
They settled it was reintroduced last week IIRC.

At the end of my run with III, I used to jack a Columbian truck, park it at one of the gang-war intersections, and sit in the back and snipe Columbians as they got into fights with the Yakuza.
I also used to jack one of the Yakuza cars by the Casino and continually wreck into the center dividers in the area, getting insane stunt bonuses.
(The RC car challenge in that area was hella fun, too)

I usually don't link to these, but bungie's Humday Challenge is rife with images of the new maps this week.
Speaking of new maps, I figured I'd ask again who is getting them immediately. I'm still tempted, but I've got figure Halo is in for a month or more of neglect starting May 1st.
I actually downloaded the high-res video (1280x720) preview of the maps last night. It's over half a gig. I haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet, though.
Finally, the Pic of the Day

This could be us, my friends.

I agree that Halo may be put on the back burner after GTA4 comes out. I would get the maps though if others are going to get them. So put me down in the "if, then" category.
That pic makes me tingle a little. I love new maps.

I'm with you MAIRONMAN, I'll bow to peer pressure, but left to my own devices, meh. It's not like we'll be seeing much of them except for customs, and not like we'll be able to use them in meet-ups because not everyone will have them. And the best map needs more people than we usually get anyway.

i am definitely going to get them if the majority of everyone does, although you both make valid points, with RSV2 & GTAIV, halo will have to sit back for a while but i'm sure just like H2 it will make a resurgence into my xbox many times especially with the NN meet ups and such

So far bungie hasn't admitted that this Pack will one day become free, but I don't wonder if we won't have a clue by the time GTA use slows down.

if i were a betting kinda guy, i would most definitely think it would become free, just like the last one and I THINK all the halo 2 map packs, The heroic was only available for 3 or so months i do believe till it became free.

I know it'll be free eventually. I think it's a ploy by MS because the sales of the last one had to be ****. I could see it taking longer though.

I just watched the half-gig vid-doc. There is no way those are regular 360 HD textures. They were ridiculously crisp in the hi-def video.

I'm getting the Legendary pack as soon as it's available.
Hey Dakar, do want to try and finish the scoring achievement on the Ark tonight? I'll be home from work around 7pm PST.
