I get avalanche all the time on social big team battle. I got mine during a CTF match. Just hope it isn't Avalanche Heavy. You won't last long with all of those lasers, wraths and scorpions.

A real nice group of players. Two of their veteran members guided another player and I through the challenge. I think there was only 7 deaths during the entire run. 3 of them were caused by some serious lag.

I may need their help again with the Mythic achievement "Save this film."

FYI, I wouldn't mind doing an Annual run again. You'd be surprised how fun it is.

Yeah, I"ve said I don't like the multi anymore. But I still signed on the night you and Bogues sent me an invite.

Mark my words, Modern Warfare 2 is going to be huge, and I will most likely be moving there (If BioShock 2s multi isn't immersive).

Everything I've read about ODST makes it sound more like my type of FPS. No superjumping, stealth is important.

I'm sure I'll be playing the new maps with you guys after that, but unless there's a crazy surge in our play, I'll probably transition to Modern Warfare 2 by spring, especially since I suspect my friends will be picking it up.

Yep, Social Big Team Battle in a CTF match is the way to go for splatter spree. I believe I got mine that way too, but I believe the opposing team lost a couple of players which made it easy for me...

Are all 7 on 7 playlists Avalanche only? I remember when I got that achievement a few months back, Avalanche was the only map that loaded up. That maybe your best shot to get the "Look Both Ways" achievement Bogues.

I don't think anyone cares but me. Fatty doesn't care about his Legendary achieve or the metas, and Bogues doesn't need any.

You going to be on tonight? I'll help you get the Tilt skull and "Orpheus" achievement if you want. Getting the meta achievement on the Cortana level wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Thunderstorm, Catch & Fog are the only skulls you need to have on. I was able to score 15,000 points without a time bonus.

I'm not sure where to bring this up, but this seems like the most appropriate place...

...the 1337pwn iPhone/iPod Touch app. It sucks. The Dashboard widget is a little wonky and usually needs up to 30 seconds to update, but the app will give patently wrong info even when I bypass my list and directly select someone.

Anyone?

Yes, I've noticed that too. The Dashboard widget use to be rock solid but ever since the developer started focusing on the mobile apps, the quality has really gone downhill. It now takes forever to update the list... if it updates at all. Sometimes my friends disappear from the list as they're being updated.

And don't get me started on the two iphone/ipod apps. They've always been slower than the Dashboard widget. It can take up to 2 minutes for my friends list update. That's just ridiculous. The NXE app hasn't worked for me since I installed the iPhone 2.1 firmware update. Every time I launch the app, it crashes during starup.

It seems to me that if you don't get the Overkill achievement early on, it's almost impossible to get in the higher ranks. I've been trying for a solid week now. It appears the easiest way to get this achievement is on Pit with the King of the Hill game type. Wait for the hill to spawn below the bridge and use the turret gun to wipe out all the players trying to conquer the hill. The problem is KOTH rarely shows up in Lone Wolf games.

Oh well, at least I finally dropped my gold bars. No more Staff Captain for me.

No, it rotates through Avalanche, Sandcrap, Standoff, Rat's Nest, and a few others.
