Here's the situation:
My younger sisters love playing Sims 2 for Mac, and have been doing so on a 1.25ghz eMac with 256mb of ram (eek!!). Unfortunately, this computer is not theirs, but for Christmas I was able to find a 1ghz eMac to upgrade their old g3 imacs with. I know that the printed system requirements for Sims2 is 1.2ghz processor... but if it was playing on a system with only 256mb of ram, shouldn't it play on the 1ghz emac with 1gb of ram?

I played the Sims 2 on my Macbook Pro, and all I remember about it was it being very resource consuming. I don't think it was ported over very well, so my Macbook Pro was running very hot.

The Windows version running on my Macbook Pro has the same issues. It's a surprisingly intensive game.
