I'd be interested in this too, mostly for Super Mario 64. How do you buy them though? Do they ask for a credit card? (Sorry about sort of jacking the thread, but my questions follow the same path. I'd like to know the answer to macfantn's question too.)

you buy points probably through a credit card on file similar to itunes. and purchase them with points most games are 500 - 1000 points not sure what the dollar amount is.

Actually the credit card information is not stored like iTunes. You need to enter your CC information each time you want to purchase points. I personally have found it easier to just buy point cards.

The service itself is pretty cool. Some of the games are very large however. This causes the small internal memory capacity of the Wii to fill up quickly if you buy a lot of games and/or have game saves. You can not play virtual console games stored on a SD card due to their implementation of DRM.

N64 games actually receive a nice graphic boost when played on the VC so that's an added bonus. Most games however are just like you remember; blocky and pixelated

As I said, I'd probably just get Super Mario. So that shouldn't be a problem. Neither should the CC problem, as I'll be buying once.

Can you use the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, or do you need the other classic controller?

Just buy a Wii points card and the classic controller which is pretty cool. No need to mess with a credit card.

Super Mario 64 requires either the classic controller or a GameCube controller.
