Anyone a fan of this game? You guys play this online?

I personally love the game!
here is a thread.. to another board that was already started and actually inspired me to buy the game (by a quick google)

EA Games has also released a booster pack called Northern Strike, which contains 3 new maps, 10 new unlocks and 2 new vehicles. At the 2007 WWDC, it was announced that Battlefield 2142 would be released for Macintosh computers in July 2007.[1] It was released on August 28, 2007 for Macintosh. Since the game uses Cedega it will only work with Intel based Macintosh systems and not PowerPC.
that got me really interested... I have been playing it for about a day now, and I JUST LOVE IT!

It is a good game.

Though I much prefer Battlefield 2. I like the setting better, the music better, the graphics better, and the fact that I can have grenades in it. See, I have bad internet for gaming, which means I was never able to unlock anything in BF2142, and therefore never got grenades... Walkers aren't so easy to kill without grenades. I have to specifically respawn as a missile launcher guy.

Anyways, I'm glad you like it. How's it performing on your Mac?
I'm on MacNN forums, but no longer have a Mac...

I can't wait to get my new MBP here in a month. My new employer is getting me one and I'm just dying to switch jobs so I can have it.

WIsh this game worked on my Nov. 2007 MacBook, but it doesn't. I knew that before buying, just wishing it could work!

I have a PC in the basement that I keep as an internet gateway & gaming machine. I play BF1942, BFVietnam, BF2, BF2142 & COD4 when I have time (which isn't very often...but still). The thing I really like about BF2142 is the fact that flying is super, super easy compared to the other games where joysticks are practically required. I use the keyboard & mouse to play (which I totally suck at, I'm a console gamer...can't get used to the keyboard/mouse combo), and flying in 2142 is actually a joy.
-Core i5 MacBook Pro, 500GB HDD, 4GB RAM; iBook G4 1.2GHz, 1.25GB RAM
-5G white iPod 30GB; original U2 iPod 20GB mono; now on 32GB Black iPhone 4
-...oh, and a PC too.
