I drove into Algonquin to lose the cops.

Edit; Sorry I ditched you sek, but they suddenly choose this time to start construction right outside my apartment. I can't even hear the TV.

Its alright. I was able to finish delivering packages for Jacob, found two more pigeons, three more stunt jumps, and finished the rest of the races. I just need to do them all over again for the achievement. The last race was North Alderney against trucks and I was in a Turismo, lol, easy win.

Race win percentage: 100%....not a single loss.

Also had a chance today to chopper to the Statue of Happiness and see the large chained beating heart. It was more bizzare than I imagined.

so i attempted to get in on some multi tonight until i sat down to play and my 360 won't play any discs. Each disc i put in the drive it gives me the "unable to read disc" message. After going though my entire library of games i'm a little stuck. F***

I hope you got some kind of replacement plan so you don't have to send it in to MS to get fixed.

Plus, you'll need to have the RRoD in order to get it fixed under the MS warranty.

That's why I bought my system from Costco. If anything happens to it at any time I can return it, no questions asked.

All glory to the hypnotoad.

thats why I bought accidental insurance for all electrical items. Anything happens I just drop it down the stairs and buy a new one, and claim the money back.

It was 60 dollars at the time of purchase. However, this last time I was able to extend the replacement plan for another two years for 7 dollars.

Totally worth it IMO.

So.... let's see where I am after the weekend:

• As promised I went achievement crazy, acquiring Man Hunt, Half Mil, Genetically Superior, Assassin's Greed and You Got The Message, as well as grabbing Gracefully Taken as a bonus for my storyline work.

• You can't take a date to the carwash, you cheap bastard. WHile we're at it, it won't let me take a bike through, either.

• The Futo is a deceptively good car. It rips.

• Nothing is more anti-climactic than a Faggio police chase. At lower levels, though, it's more useful for losing the cops, I find.

• Speaking of Faggios, I completed Bernie's missions. He was a little annoying, but I don't see how he's offensive. He's no worse a caricature then the violent Irish drunks, or the slang laden, cookie-cutter Mobsters or the baked rastafarians. And yes, his running is hilarious.

• Up to 33 stunt jumps completed, not expecting to find more than 1 or 2 more. Up to 31 pigeons found, including one by complete accident that I heard when I was refusing to drive until a taxi that had hit my bumper backed up.

• Interesting glitch I think I found - get a wanted rating under 3 stars, preferably 1. Drive to one of the tolls and blast through without paying. I swear I've done that twice and it cancels out the star.

• Coolest things I saw this weekend: A dude wreck in his car so hard he got thrown into the opposing lane on a bridge; fighting at one of the industrial sites in Alderney, a guy shot one of the pipes, causing a flame to shoot out and engulf him and his dead bodyguard... finishing the mission for me.

• Moded car types I think I've seen so far: Sentinel, Blista, Sultan... what else am I forgetting?

• I now stand at just over 80% complete.

Modded cars - Dukes, Sabre GT, PCJ600 ( one with a GSXR look and another with the Buell look)
- if you count convertible and non - i think just banshee & Feltzer

also about the flaming kill, i shot that and killed myself in a mission while chasing some guy up an industrial site i caught on fire after using free aim to give him a head shot (and missed)...

other news: i have a working 360 again, i guess its not what you know, but who you know.

Thanks. I'm not terribly enamored with it. I'm out of ideas lately.

Forgot about the muscle cars. I don't count the convertibles.

I noticed the differing body types on the PCJ, but I never equated it with differing performance.
I also heard there are two NRGs as well.

Has anyone used Dwayne's special ability?

I've tried to be clever and call cops into a few situations lately, but the game has been screwing me over and saying they are unavailable. Bastards.

I used his ability for the museum mission but they didn't do much. In fact, one got in my way when I was shooting at someone else and I hit him right in the head. He didn't die, though.

All glory to the hypnotoad.

Not surprising. At least they seem to have accounted for bad AI (I believe I accidentally shot Packie in the back of the head on one of the mission with no ill effect).

Something about the museum mission made me think it was supposed to be awesomer than it turned out. I seem to remember someone commenting in an article about the breakable vases being these just for the awesome shootouts.

Speaking of shootouts, I think I'll be making a couple of Tony Montana-like last stands this week. I'll tell you guys if I find any particularly good spots to hole up in.
