I noticed that too last night. I went into both of them and they were identical. But Modo has different clothes. A little more casual/trendy. I like the sneakers and jeans from there. Right now I'm wearing the red sneakers from Modo, black jeans from Modo, the black flight jacket from the Russian place, and the sunglasses form the Russian place. I look hot.

I'm not sure if its a glitch or a feature, but I noticed that too early on. Something else I notice is that my glasses randomly go away at some point. I have to go put them back on at a safehouse if I want them back. Pretty annoying.
Something I found myself impressed with last night was the ragdoll system they are using (forget the name at the moment). Its pretty damn cool to watch when you're drunk with a friend. To watch them stumble around, reacting to everything in the environment dynamically. Steadying themselves with their hands if they happen to run into a car or obstacle. Tripping over curbs and each other. None of it seems scripted at all, its just a great ragdoll system.
EDIT: Weird, it put my post at the top of this page, even though I posted it well after the others on this page. Must be a clock issue going on.

So what did you guys choose on the last mission?
Revenge or Money? For every other decision, I just made one and lived with it... for this one I made 2 different saves to see both outcomes.
I think it'd be interesting to start a thread seeing the various choices people made (i.e. Derrick or Francis, Playboy or Dwyane, etc.) and see how the story varies. I may make one later (unless someone beats me to it), but right now I'm off to go take the money this time (already killed Dimitri in my last save!).

Final Mission Spoiler:
I decided to kill Dimitri and take revenge, i don't need the money i already had over 500k with all the side missions i did so i felt revenge was a better choice. I also killed Dwayne when given the choice.

End game spoiler (and a spoiler in a spoiler...)
I choose the money. I figured that I liked roman more then Kate so I took his advice. Bad choice, ha. Additional spoilers below for people who choose revenge...
When Roman got shot and killed, I was like... what the hell, I've been shot thousands of time. Walk it off wuss. At any rate, I found the ending to be somewhat anti-climatic, yet somehow kind of fitting. I liked how Darko ended up being a total loser. I was really expecting him to be this big badass guy. I was glad when they spun it the way they did.
I have a save I can go back to to see the other ending, I'm going to try that tonight.
I choose to kill Dwayne, Francis, and then to let darko live and to do the deal. What happens if you kill Darko? Does it change anything???

I'm slowing down trying not to beat the game as quickly as I could. I don't want it to end!

I'm still loving the side stuff. The main missions are usually more cut and dry and repetitive.

So.. after they hype is down and most are close to done or done, do you still think it deserves the 10 it was given by IGN?

For all the flaws I will point to, I still think the achievement in size, detail, and diversity is incredible.

Well, first of all, I think IGN's 100 point review scale is ridiculous. How can you really rank things like that?
"Well, I kept going back and forth between an 8.4 and an 8.5, but after considering some of the aliasing problems, I decided that an 8.4 was the best I could do..."
It's just dumb.
At any rate, I guess the question is, do I think GTA4 is the best game since Ocarina of Time? I would say a big no to that one. But I do think that GTA4 is a very special game. A real landmark title.
I would give it a 10 on a 10 point scale, but I think lots of games deserve that score. Review scores are dumb anyway.

I'd give it a 9.5 or higher, so I don't think the 10 is too far of a stretch.

Great question. What is the best game since Ocarina?

So something I think they should add in to the game in a future expansion or whatever is, of course, the Cash Cab! They should make it so when you get in a cab there is a chance that its the Cash Cab (renamed of course), and you get to play a trivia game on your way to your destination and can win cash. I take a lot of cabs, so this would appeal to me.
They also need skateboards. I ran across a real sweet skate park but no board to shred with. It would be great if there were some skate kids there, bustin moves and such, and you could either skate around alone or challenge them to a competition and win or lose some money. Or just make it so you can pull off some challenging moves for achievements or something.
This game has almost endless possibilities for expansions. The groundwork that Rockstar has laid is nothing short of incredible.

Having grown up in Manhattan, and had lived in Brooklyn as well, I've been enjoying driving around Rockstar's virtual version of my old stomping grounds. It's funny how "compressed" the city is. I probably have a harder time driving around Algonquin than others, because the landmarks are near to, but not at their locations in the real world. Radio City is on the wrong side of the street (messes my North / south up majorly), and racing uptown from Times Square, when I feel I have reached the upper west side, I'm already at the north end of the island. But the important thing is that it still feels like Manhattan, which is pretty amazing. I haven't unlocked Jersey yet (where I live now), but I can already imagine what it is like.
Right now, I'm hunting pigeons (done 13 or so),and what is nice is that it allows me to slow down and really explore some areas in detail.
