Gaming. Which one? Obviously, I don't want to spend money needlessly, but I want a decent gaming platform. Advice? Thanks!

Halo 2 requires Vista. Thats all I know of. Other then that, you get DX10.
I'm on MacNN forums, but no longer have a Mac...
