I came home from work 12/12 and turned on my PS3 and was greeted by sound, but no picture. I have the PS3 setup with an HDMI cable. I took out the the composite cable and followed the instructions and reset it to factory defaults. I had video via the composite, selected HDMI, no picture. I did this a couple of times. (It was detecting the cable) I submitted a service request online. Sony said they would send a box to ship it in for repair. (it arrived 12/18)

Now to my question. The next day (12/13) I decided to try and get video one more time. When I turned on the PS3 I had video via HDMI (with out going through the reset process) and has been working since then.

Should I still send it?

I would just keep the box so if it ever breaks again you can send it in. I don't know if you would have to submit a new support ticket or whatever though.
