Hello everyone! My first threat on this website, happy to be here and thanks in advance for the help.
Ok, I have a MacBook Pro right now, the once from like 2007, with the 8600gm graphics card. I am going to be getting either the new MacBook or the MacBook Pro soon, and i would much rather have the MacBook because of its smaller size and portability, but the deal breaker is the gaming. If I'm going to get the Book then it is going to be the base line model, and i wanted to know if anyone knew how well it stood up to my favorite game, Battlefield 2, via Boot Camp of course. Also Call of Duty 4 as well, these are the only 2 games I play. I would think that BF2 takes less graphics power to run than COD4, but I am not sure. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Also, if it the MacBook isn't good enough to hold up against BF2 sniping, with decent framerate, then should i get the baseline MBP? How well does this machine play these games and is it worth the extra cash. But mainly, if you can, try and answer the BF2 question because I'm really stuck right now between the two. Thank you again!

Both Battlefield 2 and Call of Duty 4 will run wonderfully on the new MacBook (love the new ones) and MacBook Pros. The benefit of the MacBook Pro is that you would get a bigger screen (and even better performance), which is a good thing for gaming.
There is an OS X version of Call of Duty 4 as well, so Boot Camp wouldn't be necessary there.

You don't need two threads on the same subject so I'm closing your other one in the Mac Notebooks section.

If anyone knows of any video that shows the MacBook playing BF2, or if you play BF2 on it, could you show/upload? Thanks.

Sniping is awful on BF2 anyway, aint gonna make a difference if ur lagging or not, ur still not gonna hit the buggers, and even if you do manage to hit the buggers ut still gonna have to fluke it to hit them again.
dont worry mate, either of them will play BF2 and COD4, not nececerally on the highest settings smoothly, but u'll just have to find the best in between

There are plenty of them on YouTube... Just do a search for unibody MacBook with BF2 and CoD4.

Well I don't have that hard of a time sniping on that game, its really fun for me and I do pretty well. But thanks.
And I've already searched youtube for every possible way to find a video with BF2... doesn't seem to be one.
