So I'm a casual gamer. Console will be PS3 around x-mas and currently playing some WOW (in Mac OS X) and L4D (boot to Win XP) on an iMac and Macbook.

I'm looking for headphones with mic for in-game chat.

Any suggestions? Its been a while for me. On the Macbook, I have both a sound in port and a headphone port. Do I use that or should I get something that uses the USB port?

Can I go cheap with iphone buds?

I am not even a casual gamer so my advice is kinda worthless; I am getting this Philips SHM 7110, look great and the mic is unobtrusive, which I like.

A bit of a warning regarding the Philips headphones, due to its cable configuration you can't actually use them with a Mac Pro. Pity.
