A MW2 inspired poll, sort of. Since we're starting fresh with a new game, a semi-philosophical question: Which stats would you prefer?

A 4.0 kill/death ratio with a .1 win/loss

or

A 5.0 win/loss with a .25 kill/death ratio

For the purposes of this poll, we'll assume there are no "Free-for-All" game types, so you earn both of these in team-based games.

I'd rather have a solid k/d over w/l anyday of the week. Winning the match in CoD never concerns me that much, at least not nearly as much as Halo, but I'd far prefer to lose the match with a solidly positive k/d.

I'll also add that while "achieving" these stats, you do not feel more or less joy either way. It's purely for show/bragging/ragging.

Is this a sociology experiment? I'm guessing people don't feel too connected to their team in random online games, so they'll be more concerned with their personal performance on the scoreboard than the team's performance on game objectives.

I'm not sure experiment is the word I'm looking for, but yes, its philosophical. Feeling connected is one aspect of the question. But the other is: Do games give us any incentive to win?

That's a weak rationalization.

You did say free for all.

For HQ, you need to work as a team, plus I rush to try and capture and end up with a terrible k/d ratio after a few HQ matches.

I forgot the "no". Hence my "so you earn both of these in team-based games."
