I recently started playing WoW and am a 16th level warrior, got a big ass two handed sword the other night but when I go to use it my hit points are 1 or 2...do you need to get extra training for this weapon?
It's been a while since I've played but if you check your combat log, your 2-handed sword skill should be increasing the more you use it. Once you get it up near your other weapon skill's level it will start doing better for you.
