I'm trying to sign up in GameCenter on my iPad/iPhone, but after i enter my D.O.B., it comes back with the error "Email address is already verified for another AppleID".

What gives ?

When i launch CameCenter, it's got my .Mac/mobileMe address already in there so i presume i use that login/pass at the GC login screen ?

If "it's got [your] .Mac/mobileMe address already in there," what exactly is "there?" Is it really asking you to create a new Apple ID? Is there a different button around to use to actually log in versus creating a new ID? When I open Game Center (I haven't really set it up yet), it offers my AppleID email address...I'm assuming it will let me USE that existing ID if I try.

When i launch the "GameCenter" app on my iPhone, the "loginID" is set to my "email@mac.com" by default, so i type in my .Mac email password and then it asks me my region and date of birth, after which it gives me the error message.

Is this gmecenter stuff affiliated with .mac/mobileme or is it something completely different ?

Gamecenter uses your Apple ID. If that's not the same as your @Mac login data, that could be your problem. If it IS the same, contact Apple about this, because something is quite wrong.
