Sony is claiming George "Geohot" Hotz has fled the country in their latest motion. That's pretty impressive, though the wisdom and rationale behind their lawsuit is a questionable. My query is, in the end will this actually have any effect on preventing future hacking?

Sure, it'll scare some people, however, I do believe that there are still people out there who really don't see it as a threat. People get murdered all the time and the murderer gets caught and sentenced to prison. Does that stop others from committing the act? Nope. Same thing here. Maybe not the best analogy, but there will always people who do what the **** they want and try to get away with it.

Sony is evil. I'll never buy from them, and I recommend to everyone not to buy from them.
