I am running oni (full version) on a new (dual usb) ibook running Mac OS 9.1. During nearly every cutscene, after a short period, the audio stops and afterwards when the game begins again it can only be restored by pressing the "escape" or "F1" key. However, this is not always successful and sometimes results in static noise from which the only escape is to load a saved game once again. This problem also occurs when loading some saved games.

I have tried various things to solve the problem including:
1. Increase memory allocation
2. Restart with base and all extensions selected
3. Trying different screen resolutions, image quality

Info about my system:
iBook 500mhz
256Mb RAM
4Gb free disk space
OpenGL v 1.2.2
Quicktime v 5.0.2 (also problem with 4.1.2)
ATI Rage 128 Mobility 8Mb RAM

Thankyou for your help
