i have an imac rev b 233 160mb voodoo2, and i am curious if i would see any improvement using ram doubler 9 vs. the standard virtual memory. I know that it is no substitute for real ram, but i am going to upgrade to a g4 soon, and i dont want to invest in more hardware now.

No, I'd stay away from that personally. Its old, and not nearly as efficient as the built in virtual memory.
It causes nothing but problems...

No, really?
vm is much better that Ram doubler. Most programs are not compatible with Ram Doubler anyway!

I've found that a $50 stick of RAM works better than either of these programs.

Seriously, for gaming these apps. are too slow. You need every frame per second you can get, so only real RAM will do. You can't get something for nothing, and with these apps, you trade off on the speed of RAM for getting more memory. RAM is so cheap now there's no excuse for having too little RAM. I ate rice n' beans for two weeks so I could afford a stick of RAM, and was it worth it!
