my advice is to crack out your old copy of Command and Conquer 1 and make believe it is actually C&C2. I believe Westwood Studios has made very clear they are no longer interested in pursuing the Mac as a viable gaming platform.

Why exactly? Didn't C&C sell well? and the mac platform has ALOT more users since they gave up on us. What about a company like Macsoft doing the port?

ahh...C&C..now those were the days.

I have seen RA2 being played and I agree that it looks like a cool game, but with AOE2 (which I have never played, but I have heard the series is good) coming out and starcraft out for at least a year, you should not feel in any way deprived or RTS's on the mac. I am happy that I have what I do, and by the time a port would be finished (assuming it would have been actually made) myth III and Warcraft III would have already been completed already, both of which I am MUCH more interested in than RA2. I would be happy that I have what I do, not be unhappy about what I don't have.

Actual numbers aside, the game didn't sell well enough for Westwood's tastes. Otherwise, we would obviously be seeing more of their games on our platform. Can't see any way around it, seeing as how old C&C2 is. As you said, maybe there's more hope for their newer games if they see new potential on the Mac..but I doubt it.
