Who wants a carbon Starcraft? Diablo2? HerosIII? whatever...

Anyone else interested in playing these fine games native in X, and not through the classic environment where they struggle to pay, in some cases not at all?

Starcraft, I think it has been out too long to get updated. But Diablo has a chance, only a year old, and a fresh expansion out. Killer game and the only one which is non playable in classic for me.

Hero'sIII is failry old, but since they are currently working on the Hero'sIV, which I believe will be carbon.

Anyone else interested in a petition? Are there any games I missed?

You're in luck, StarCraft is being carbonized according to Blizzard.
Diablo II + Expansion are probably going to be carbonized too.

Dunno about Heroes III though.

Isn't the Heroes Complete pretty recent... It's as recent as Diablo II: LOD... Can't see why it couldn't be released carbonized... With Diablo you have to play with the gamma and contrast to play it in X... I've stuck with 9 for the moment for playing it...

Anyone else see the preview graphics for Heroes IV... They look kinda cheesy... Too many bright colors on the map... Hopefully that's just the beta colors... I haven't been able to find too much information on it... Let me know if you have a link with newer graphics... I'd be curious as to whether it looks better now...

I agree, Heroes IV doesn't look too good. I prefer the crisp, cartoonish graphics from the earlier Heroes. The new graphics just look too busy and it's hard to figure out what exactly is going on (ie. where your heroes are, what type of terrain you're on, etc...)

I'll have to go take another look at the screenshots though...I haven't seen them in a while and my opinion might change.

I'd like to see Diablo II carbonized, along with Baldur's Gate and MOO II, the games I currently play.

Hereos III, I didn't like very much , but I think it should be because I would like to see as many programs, including games, carbonized.

I would like to see Diablo II, Baldur's Gate, and MOO II Carbonized as these are the games I play most often.

I did not like Hereos as much but it should be as I would like to see as many games carbonized as possible.

WOW! My thread...its' its' alive!

Richard: yes, I saw that later that day, I signed the D2:LOD petation.

Osirisis: Heroe's III Complete while fairly recent was released early spring. But they are now working on Heros IV (as you noted) that is why I feel they might just skip 3, and wait for the port of 4. All I have seen for pics were two small ones in an artical in CGW.

Corys: HAPPYWEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVEED that game. do you have it? Send me please!!!!! But, I thinkn classic can handle it

gumby: how old is Unreal? There is a chance if it is still new enough, and there is a demand from the user base. Might want to start a thread on that to gather support. But I have never played.

Mr_Frost: yeah...don't hold your breath for Dirtbkie 2D. I think it would be cool to get Shufflepuck! Just like in the good old days of the old Mac OS. Bring back all of the classics, tetris, Shufflepuck, Bonanza, Dungon of Doom, Choplifter, etc.. that would be cool

I gave a shout of joy when I found out that SC and D2 were going to be carbonized. MOO2 would be nice as well, but I bet when MOO3 comes out there will be no real reason to have MOO2. . .maybe the original MOO (which I consider the better game).

Actually there is one thing MOO II offers that III cannot and that is hotseat. The main way I play the game...

What can I say, this Quicksilver broke the bank... Won't be getting a second one any time soon...

Until you mentioned i I never even knew that MOOII had hotseat.
But it will still have netgames right? What about email games? (that was in 2 want' it?)

Email games are out too, for the same reason as hotseat is. Everything in MOO III is realtime... It's the way the engine has been designed. The designers wanted to include email, but the engine precluded that from happening.
